Our Story
On the 10th July 2019, Órlaith Holland had her first day in a new job and met Alan Devine. After some months it was clear that the job was a bad fit for both of them, and yet they continued to find reasons to spend time together.
Five years later and that’s still the case. They have endured a pandemic, the adoption of
their beautiful but chaotic son, differing music tastes, and many, many, failed D&D campaigns. And still they find reasons to laugh, bicker, and spend time together.
Alan’s proposal was as much a surprise to him as it was to Órlaith. But considering how everything has fallen into place up until now, it feels exactly right.
The Venue
Our wedding ceremony and reception will be held at the Anglers Rest, Dublin.

The Anglers Rest is a fifteen minute drive from the city centre and is off the Blanchardstown and Palmerstown exits of the M50. Please note, it is accessed by a single road which can fill up during busy times so we recommend giving yourself plenty of time to arrive. It is wheelchair accessible and has parking available.

We have arranged for rooms to be reserved for our guests at the Castleknock
Hotel, which is five minutes from the venue. These rooms are reserved at a discounted rate and can be booked through phone/email by referencing our names. After these rooms are gone, guests can still book at 10% off the best available rate. No deposit is required to book, just payment upon arrival.

Short answer: Our numbers and guest list have not been finalised yet.
Long answer: If we like you enough to send a Save the Date, you can assume you are on our current ideal guest list. But the day is still some time away, and circumstances can change, so nothing is confirmed.
Regarding plus ones, we already know they will be quite limited, and reserved for guests that we think will be unfamiliar with most others attending. Again, nothing is finalised so please wait until our formal invitations are sent out before querying further.

For now, feel free to contact the bride or groom with any queries you have, although keep in mind that we are currently in the middle of planning everything, so we may not have decided yet on whatever it is you’re wondering about.
